Wax Offering Death Metal Band
Pensacola’s Melodic Fury
Wax Offering death metal band emerged in late 2022 from Pensacola, Florida, forging a unique sound that fuses melodic death metal with thrash and heavy metal roots. Quickly revered for their unorthodox songwriting and live energy, Wax Offering packed a powerful punch on the Gulf Coast scene.
Comprised of Talon Lehman (vocals), Mike Witte (guitar), Evan Palmer (guitar), Tyler Bostock (bass), and Matthew Ray (drums), the band brings a cohesive blend of technical skill and visceral stage presence. Their unified passion for melodic brutality and rhythmic aggression defines their signature sound.
Their debut single, “Bump in the Night,” dropped September 1, 2023, showcasing tight riffing and melodic leads alongside dynamic aggression. The track quickly resonated with fans of Goatwhore, Exhumed, and Cannibal Corpse—bands often cited as stylistic kin.
Wax Offering’s growing momentum is reflected in their regular appearance at venues such as the Handlebar and Holy Diver. They were featured on the Dead Army Takeover tour and opened for heavy acts like Gatecreeper and Infernem—proof of their rising stature.
Their live shows are electrifying, with mosh-ringing riffage and crowd-pulling choruses. Performances at Heat in the Street and Perdido Key Festivals solidified their reputation for delivering raw, face-melting intensity.
Wax Offering’s sound taps into the aggression of thrash while maintaining melodic sensibility. With influences from local peers and international death-metal luminaries, they strike a balance between brutality and harmonics.
Social media and streaming platforms have bolstered their reach—Spotify currently lists them among rising death-metal acts in Northwest Florida, and their Facebook page keeps fans updated on shows and gear snapshots.
In May 2023, Wax Offering performed a full set at The Handlebar in Pensacola, recorded live by Jondus Media. The video—spread across YouTube—showcases their tight musicianship, heavy grooves, and ruthless energy on stage.
As they continue writing new material, Wax Offering is poised to return to the studio. Fan buzz and crowd response suggest they’re on the verge of releasing a full EP or album, following the success of “Bump in the Night.”
With their rapid ascent, lyrical hookiness, and technical chops, Wax Offering death metal band stands as a standout force in Florida’s underground metal scene—bringing melodic thrash fury with unapologetic attitude.
